The History Of MoneyTree
On October 31st, 1983, in a town called Renton, Washington, MoneyTree opened its first branch. Three owners ran that business together, and their names are Dennis Bassford, Dave Bassford, and Sara Bassford. They were everything in one: payment center staff, teller, and managers. They helped customers, cleaned the store, and did the accounting, as well as dealt with any returned checks from the bank.
In 1985, MoneyTree opened their second store on Fairview Avenue, and the company began offering cash advance loans in Boise, Idaho in 1988. Over the next six years MoneyTree opened one to two stores every 12 to 18 months, growing at a steady rate. By 1994 MoneyTree stores could be found all around Washington and Idaho. In 1998 the company began entering California, continuing to Nevada in 1999 and Colorado in 2003.
More services have since been added since the first branch opened in 1983. Not only does MoneyTree offer check cashing services and cash advance loans, the company also has money orders, fax services, and Western Union services. MoneyTree sells postage stamps, pre-paid gift cards, pre-paid phone cards, and prepaid MasterCard debit cards. MoneyTree even has Coin Tree coin counting machines at some of their locations.
MoneyTree is politically involved at both the state and federal levels. The company is involved with state and national trade associations, and MoneyTree strives to give back to the communities in which they operate. MoneyTree believes that they are leaders in the industry of customer service, with a terrific work environment, and the company strives to maintain the upmost professionalism in the business.
Among all the states that MoneyTree operates in, there are 125 branches open today. Every month, new stores open up, and MoneyTree would love for customers to visit them to see how hard the company strives for excellence.
MoneyTree would be happy to hear from customers that have comments, questions, concerns or suggestions. Customers can reach MoneyTree by calling their Headquarters at 1-800-745-1011.
MoneyTree prides itself on being one of the top cash advance and check cashing services on the West Coast today.
MoneyTree employs over 1,200 people in their 125 branches in the following states: Washington, Idaho, California, Nevada, and Colorado. MoneyTree handles money transactions that many banks will not, or that other check cashing places won't either. MoneyTree tries it best to meet their customers' financial needs by working hard and saying "Yes" as often as possible.
MoneyTree also cashes all kinds of different checks, as well as offers short-term loans to customers with the added incentive of doing it better than anyone else. MoneyTree offers as many services as it can, including money orders, wire transfers from Western Union, prepaid debit cards, long distance cards, and the use of fax machines. If customers cash a check or get a cash advance loan with MoneyTree, their money order is free on the spot.
MoneyTree tries its best to fill the financial niche within the various communities, just as a small convenience store does within the food market.
